About

Noumenal, LLC is an independent app studio based in San Francisco, California. We design and develop our own software for learning, personal growth, and connection.

Our mission is to support people in becoming who they want to be. We start with things that already matter to us: a word we want to learn, a goal we care about, or someone we want to encourage. We look for small ways software can help.

We value clear language, considered details, and simple experiences. We want our tools to fit into everyday life and leave room for the people using them.

We’re currently building Wordpool, a place for the words we discover in the wild, and Nettle, a personal goals app centered on community and encouragement. Both are in development.
